The Princess is a main character in the show Twisted: The Untold Story of a Royal Vizier. She is the daughter of Ja'far and Sherrezade and the adopted child of the Sultan. She is the current Sultan and former princess of the Magic Kingdom. Despite her bratty attitude and comedic dim-wittedness, she is a genuinely kind person and clearly cares about the citizens of the Magic Kingdom. The Princess is played by Rachael Soglin.

Twisted: The Untold Story of a Royal Vizier[]

The Princess is first mentioned when Ja'far states that she is supposed to have breakfast with Prince Achmed, the prince of the neighboring kingdom Pik-zahr. However, not wanting to marry him, the Princess sics one of her tigers on him, causing Achmed to declare war on the Magic Kingdom in a rage. Meanwhile, the Princess releases Indian Swallowtails from their cage despite the fact that they are domesticated birds and wouldn't survive in the wild, showcasing her naive attitude. Ja'far scolds her and leaves to fix her mistake. Upset, the Princess laments and sings about wanting everything and more.

Tired of her life inside the palace, the Princess sneaks out and goes into the kingdom's marketplace. There, she meets Aladdin, a dangerous criminal and pickpocket. He leads the Princess to his apartment in an attempt to make love to her, which she is completely oblivious to, and sings Orphaned at 33 to gain the Princess's sympathy. Seconds later, the Royal Guard finds the two and arrests Aladdin. Angry, the Princess pleads that they let Aladdin go (while refusing the Captain of the Royal Guard's high five and unintentionally upsetting Abdul's twin brother). When she learns that it was Ja'far's orders to arrest Aladdin, the Princess becomes even more furious. At the end of Act 1, she, alongside Ja'far and Aladdin, sing about wanting a happy ending.

In Act 2, the Princess is still angry at Ja'far and attempts to poison his drink before hiding in her bedroom (which is her way of asking him to talk to her). After he finds her, Ja'far and the Princess have a heart-to-heart about Aladdin (whom the Princess kept forgetting the name of), and Ja'far warns her about him. To prove to Ja'far that she is responsible and capable of making her own choices, the Princess brainstorms solutions to the Magic Kingdom's biggest problems, such as fixing the socioeconomic inequality by making everyone in the kingdom a princess. Ja'far, still unconvinced, continues his talk with the Princess and warns her that a man's song is usually a way to trick young girls like herself into having sex with them, since a song is a "dick in sheep's clothing". The Captain of the Royal Guard then interrupts what was shaping up to be a real showstopper of a song and tells Ja'far about an unauthorized parade in the marketplace. Ja'far, speculating that the parade was Aladdin's doing, leaves the Princess's room with the Captain.

As soon as Ja'far and the Captain leave, Aladdin (who, after receiving the lamp, has wished to become a prince) visits the Princess's room. She immediately sees through his disguise, since he's just wearing different clothes. Aladdin lies and tells her that he was actually a prince the whole time and that he was only pretending to be a poor criminal "just cause". This causes the Princess to find Aladdin a lot less attractive, due to the fact that he is no longer the rebel she thought he was. She ultimately decides to ignore this fact and tries to get back on the high she had when they both first met. Aladdin suggests that they go on a ride on his magic carpet, whilst 'subliminally' attempting to make the Princess take her clothes off. Concerned, the Princess breaks the 4th wall and asks the audience if they think Ja'far was right about Aladdin. Almost everyone in the audience says yes, except for one guy in the back (Darren Criss) who says that he doesn't think so, to whom the Princess agrees with.

The Princess decides to go on the carpet ride with Aladdin, and (after singing a rather explicit song with him about taking off her clothes) asks him to marry her. That way, Aladdin can stay and fight off Prince Achmed's army and save the Magic Kingdom. Aladdin tentatively accepts her proposal. When the two return to the palace, Aladdin, worried that Ja'far will expose him as a criminal, tricks everyone into thinking Ja'far is a sorcerer. Ja'far, stating that he's disappointed in the Princess, steals the Djinn's lamp from Aladdin and escapes.

The next day, Prince Achmed and his army arrive at the Magic Kingdom, ready to end their tyrannical rule. The Princess, however, confident in Aladdin's abilities, confronts Achmed's army and tells them that "they'll never end their tyrannical rule!" She then calls out to Aladdin, but he doesn't show up. Achmed's army prepares to storm the palace and attack the Sultan, but before they can do so, Ja'far appears, revealing that he used his first wish from the Djinn to make him the new Sultan of the Magic Kingdom, so Achmed's army has to fight him instead. He then summons the Djinn a second time and wishes to become an actual sorcerer. His wish is granted, and he begins to fight off the army using his new powers.

Frightened, the Princess runs off to find Aladdin, who is attempting to flee the kingdom, clearly not caring about the Princess or Monkey's lives. Before he can do so, however, the Princess finds him, and he attempts to sleep with her once again. It is at this moment that the Princess realizes that Ja'far was right about Aladdin all along and tells Aladdin that she'll never have sex with him, angering him. When Ja'far finds the two, the Princess states that they're not a thing anymore. Furious, Aladdin takes the Princess hostage, stating that he takes what he wants.

Ja'far begs Aladdin not to hurt the Princess, and states that he loves her like a daughter, after which he recalls that his wife, Sherrezade, was pregnant when she was forced into marrying the Sultan, and that there was no way the Sultan could have impregnated her due to his inverted penis. It was at this moment that Ja'far realized that he was the Princess's real father all along. After this revelation, he asks Aladdin if he had ever loved anyone like family, causing Aladdin to remember his parents, whom he unknowingly killed. It is revealed that Aladdin is actually a psychopath (or, alternatively, has Dissociative Identity Disorder) and has two personalities, one of which is responsible for killing his parents.

After speaking with his other personality, Aladdin tells Ja'far that he'll give him the Princess, if Ja'far gives him the Djinn's lamp. Ja'far agrees, and Aladdin lets the Princess go. Aladdin tries to seize the lamp, but before he can do so, Ja'far uses his final wish to take the Djinn's place. This sets the Djinn free and transforms Ja'far into a powerful genie. Aladdin, upset that his plan has failed and terrified by Ja'far's new form, flees from the scene.

Ja'far then gives the Princess the lamp, as he trusts her to do the right thing. Ja'far then tells the Princess that, after he grants her three wishes, he and the lamp must return to the Tiger Head Cave. This upsets the Princess, but Ja'far assures her that even when he is no longer with her, she'll have the power to do great things, and that no matter what he'll always love her. The Princess rubs the lamp and makes her three wishes. She uses her first wish to end the war with Pik-zahr peacefully. She then wishes that the Magic Kingdom would have a Sultan who would make it the happiest place on Earth again. She then sadly wishes that Ja'far didn't have to go, but he informs her that is one wish he cannot grant. So instead, the Princess uses her third and final wish to give Ja'far every happiness. Ja'far grants her wishes, and smiles fondly at his daughter, before returning to the Tiger Head Cave.

The Princess then receives word that the Sultan has died and, being his adopted daughter, she is now the new Sultan of the Magic Kingdom. She then receives word from the Captain of the Royal Guard, who says that Achmed's artillery just blew open a secret vault in the palace containing the lost treasure of Ali Baba. For her first act as Sultan, in order to save her kingdom from Achmed's army, the Princess decides to purchase the entirety of Pik-zahr in the name of the Magic Kingdom, using Ali Baba's treasure (7.4 billion drachma to be precise), for which Prince Achmed happily sells his kingdom. However, the Princess tells Achmed that there is one condition to her buying his kingdom: Achmed must bring new administrators from his land, with good ideas, to help the Magic Kingdom rebuild, while still respecting their traditions and heritage. That way, the kingdom could return to its commitment to devotion and duty (the 2 D's). Achmed agrees to these conditions, and everyone bows down to the Princess. The Princess then commands that they stop bowing and tells them that no one needs to bow to anyone else anymore because, for her next act as Sultan, in order for there to finally be equality, she declares that everyone in the kingdom is now a princess (including her former slaves, Aladdin's former pet monkey, and the Captain of the Royal Guard).

As the newly-made princesses of the Magic Kingdom celebrate, the Princess happily exclaims that all the great things that happened that day were all thanks to Ja'far as she walks off stage, laughing with the palace staff and Achmed.
